Community Led Planning At RCCE, we believe that communities have the power to influence change. We work with local communities to plan for their future, by supporting parish councils and community groups in the production of Community Led Plans, such as Parish/Town Plans and Village Design Statements.
A Community Led Plan enables a community to highlight issues, local needs and aspirations, and develop a vision for the future.
Village Halls and Community Buildings Advice service RCCE's Village Halls and Community Building Advisor works to ensure all affiliated Village Halls and Community Buildings in Essex are provided with support in their management. We offer information on all aspects of Village Hall and Community Building management, as well as advice on grant funding.
Village Agents Village Agents is an exciting pilot project being delivered by the RCCE. The aim is to demonstrate the benefits from seeking out people in isolated rural areas, particularly the elderly, that need support that they are not currently getting. The Agents will arrange for Statutory, non-Statutory, Voluntary or Community Sector services to contact the individual. Easy access to services and information will support healthier, happy and safer independent living whilst also enabling organisations to develop even more efficient and effective services.
Rural Housing Enabling service RCCE's Rural Housing Enabler works with rural communities towards the development of small schemes of affordable housing being built where a need has been identified, so that local people can remain living and working in the village. We work to raise awareness of local housing needs in Essex, and help to develop different projects through working with local communities to increase the amount of affordable housing.
Transport and Access to Services RCCE's Rural Transport and Access Adviser helps communities to identify their needs, develop appropriate projects, and access sources of funding for their successful completion. We offer independent advice on transport and access options, and help develop partnerships and facilitate projects that improve access to employment, education, health and leisure facilities.
Funding / Grant Schemes RCCE can help your community group in accessing sources of funding for your project. We also administer some small grant programmes for various types of projects.
