RCCE started life on 30th April 1929 so this year marks the 80th anniversary,
making RCCE one of the oldest Rural Community Councils in the country
To celebrate 80 years of working with rural communities across Essex staff and trustees
are planning a range of activities and events for the year to mark the occasion.
Not least of these plans is the intention to set up a Rural Fund. This will be an Endowment Fund linked to the Grass Roots programme and over time will be able to provide grants for rural projects in the county.
