Over seventy people attended Margaretting Village Hall to hear how affordable housing can be developed in rural areas and be for local people
The event outlined the process and launched an information pack aimed at informing parish, district and county councillors on how this can and does happen. George Courtauld DL, Chairman of RCCE, welcomed delegates and talked about the reasons for the shortage of this type of housing and why it is needed. The audience heard from Parish Councillors about their experiences of developing a scheme and had the opportunity to ask questions of all the speakers. The half day event closed with lunch and was funded by the Essex Local Area Agreement Housing Board.
