Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Rural Community Council of Essex will take place at the Essex Golf & Country Club, Earls Colne on Wednesday 7th July 2010 at 7.30 p.m.

2. Adoption of the 2009/2010 Annual Report
To be proposed by the Chairman, George Courtauld DL.

3. Approval of the 2009/2010 Financial Statements
To be proposed by the Honorary Treasurer, Paul Conway FCCA FCA.

4. Appointment of Auditors
To be proposed by Paul Conway FCCA FCA.

5. Election of Members of the Board of Trustees
Nomination paper for RCCE members enclosed.

6. The 2011 Annual General Meeting
Date and venue to be advised.

7. Essex Rural Fund – the Next Steps
Update and future plans.

8. ‘At the Heart of Rural Life’
Case studies illustrating how RCCE is helping people and communities in rural Essex.

INTERVAL
Buffet supper will be served*. There will also be displays and information on all current RCCE projects and services.


9. Presentation of RCCE Awards for 2010
• Best Kept Churchyard Competition - sponsored by Lodge and Sons (Builders)
• Essex Village of the Year and Best Kept Village Competition – sponsored by Essex and Suffolk Water.

* This year, due to rising operating costs and the challenges we are facing to sustain funding for our day-to-day operations, we are asking delegates to consider making a £5 contribution towards the cost of the refreshments provided at the AGM. Contributions may be made at the event. If you feel that you already sufficiently support RCCE in whatever way, please do not feel obliged to contribute.
