Home > Funding > Community Planning Fund Community Planning Fund The fund has been established as a successor to the Parish Plans Fund, previously administered by Countryside Agency and RCCE, but it is more flexible and will accept applications from a variety of community planning projects.
The Essex Rural Partnership included resources for a new fund in their recent bid to DEFRA’s Rural Social and Community Programme. The new Fund is administered by RCCE. It is possible to bid for up to £2,500 towards a Community Planning Project.
The Fund can support any type of Community Planning or Community Consultation exercise, undertaken by Parish Councils, Parish Meetings groups, Town Councils, or Constituted Steering Groups, and take the form of following:
Funding these projects helps rural communities in Essex to have a real say in the future of their villages and services. The maximum grant available to any one project is £2,500, and the grant cannot exceed 75% of total project costs. 25% Match funding will therefore be required, but up to 20% may be in-kind, with the remaining 5% of costs required to be match-funded by cash. Parish/Town Councils/Meetings and constituted steering groups can apply to the Fund. All applicants will be informed of a decision within 12 weeks of RCCE receiving their application.
