These training days will cover essential training for existing and new hall trustees, parish councillors who are appointed to hall committees and/or are sole trustees.
Accounting for village halls : training for charity treasurers and trustees. This will be held on Thursday 24th April 2014 at the RCCE offices in Feering.
Morning session 10am to 12.30pm will include: the role of treasurer and trustee; book-keeping; financial information for meetings
Afternoon session 1pm to 3.30pm will include: Charity Commission reporting, annual a/c requirements, annual report, payroll using HMRC ‘BASIC’ and RTI

Trust deeds and governance, trustee roles and responsibilities: Wednesday 14th May 2014 at the RCCE offices in Feering. Aimed at charity trustees and parish councillors on hall committees, and parish councils responsible for hall management under sole trusteeship.
Morning session 10am to 12.30pm will include: looking at your governance and trust deeds (PLEASE BRING A COPY OF YOUR DEED/CONSITITUTION/GOVERNING DOCUMENT WITH YOU); how to make amendments

Risk Assessment and Fire Risk Assessment: Wednesday 18th June. A guide to undertaking these essential audits, aimed at trustees and those responsible for hall management. This will be held at a village hall – venue to be confirmed.
