Essex Village of the Year & Best Kept Village Competition – Still Time to Enter!

Villages across Essex still have time to enter RCCE’s 2015 Essex Village of the Year & Best Kept Village Competition. The deadline for entries is Friday 10th April and the prizes on offer include £500 for the Essex Village of the Year, provided by sponsors, Essex & Suffolk Water.

This is a unique competition, in that it is the only one in Essex that focuses on the efforts of the whole community rather than on the work of the Parish Council or one particular organisation or amenity. It aims to reward villages of all sizes that are doing most to enhance the quality of life for their residents. This year marks the 60th anniversary of RCCE’s original Best Kept Village competition, so we are keen to mark the occasion with a competition that highlights the great work being done throughout Essex to support and sustain rural communities today. It has already been good to see a number of villages that haven’t taken part in recent years, deciding to enter this year.

Entry details are attached and further information is available from Sara Ward at RCCE – sara.ward@essexrcc.org.uk or 01376 574330.
