Village Hall Training

A range of training sessions is available for Village Hall and Community Building management committees.  The training aims to ensure all halls are encouraged and supported in the management of their charity administration, maintenance of the hall and ensure compliance with any legal requirements relevant to community halls. Ultimately, the hall management committee is encouraged to attain the quality management Hallmark Award, which rewards and gives recognition of good practice and encourages improvements in established customs and procedures. 

Training events scheduled to be held in 2015 include:

Financial Essentials for Treasurers and Trustees Training:  Thursday  16th April 2015 9.30am to 3.30pm at RCCE offices, Feering
Essential training for Treasurers and Trustees of village halls and community building management committees.  An opportunity to improve your knowledge and skills of financial and accounting practices and procedures.

Trust deeds and governance, trustee roles and responsibilities: Wednesday 11th March 2015 9.30am to 3.30pm at RCCE offices, Feering.  Aimed at charity trustees and parish councillors on hall committees, and parish councils responsible for hall management under sole trusteeship.

Fire Risk Assessment
: Thursday 30th April 2015 9.30am to 12.30pm at the RCCE offices– a guide to undertaking these essential audits, aimed at trustees and those responsible for hall management. 

Funding Do's and Don'ts: Thursday 30th April 2015 1pm to 3.30pm at the RCCE offices- what makes a good funding application? What should you include? What should you provide? A step by step guide to which funding organisations to apply to and what steps to take before making the application.
