Rural Housing Enabler


Part Time position - 14 hrs per week. Circa £24,000 (pro rata)

Rural Community Council of Essex (RCCE) is seeking an enthusiastic, organised and confident communicator to be the new Rural Housing Enabler to support its work in helping rural communities explore and provide community-led and affordable housing solutions in Essex.

The successful candidate will be the primary contact within RCCE for community-led and affordable housing, so you should be able to prioritise and problem solve, have a can do attitude and be able to enthuse people. Experience or an ability to maintain (and grow) relationships and have an understanding of the challenges rural communities face are important attributes.

RCCE is particularly interested to hear from applicants that have experience or an interest in affordable rural housing, planning/development or research and community development.

As the Rural Housing Enabler you will promote and advise on Community-led and affordable rural housing.  You will work with partners, engage with rural communities and parish councils, including delivering presentations and undertaking housing needs surveys across Essex.

 This post requires you to have a full driving licence and access to a car.
