Colne Engaine Village Hall - Courtauld Memorial - Braintree District

The Village Hall was built by Miss K M Courtauld some 90 years ago for the benefit of the local community. It consists of a main hall, capacity 100, with stage, small committee room, capacity 12, kitchen and toilets that include a disabled toilet and baby changing facilities. Centenary Suite comprising 2 meeting rooms, kitchenette, conservatory, WC, separate entrance and access to the garden. Both buildings have access for the disabled, chairs, tables, some crockery and cutlery. A new heating system has recently been installed in the Courtauld Memorial Hall.

Directions: From Halstead on the A1124 coming into Earls Colne take the turning immediately after the Sports Centre on the left signposted Colne Engaine. As you come up the hill into the village the Courtauld Memorial Hall is on your right through a gateway, opposite the top of Brook Street and beside the churchyard path.
