Edible Essex, in collaboration with Essex Wildlife Trust, is offering a fantastic outdoor opportunity for the whole family to enjoy. Come and discover more about edible plants that grow wild in our countryside, how to identify them and how to prepare and eat them.

The session will involve:

  • a guided walk to forage for ingredients to make soup, salads and other food and drink.
  • sampling some wild food – some cooked on an open fire
  • recipe suggestions

The session is FREE and open to families who want to learn some foraging skills whilst enjoying the great outdoors together.  Children must be over the age of 5, be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult and be prepared to do some walking!

Participants should bring a plastic collecting container, paper bags and wear suitable outdoor clothing.

Booking is essential and places are strictly limited. For more information, or to book a place, please email sophie.blythe@essexrcc.org.uk or call 01376 574 330.
