Ever wondered who lives in the affordable rural housing that our Rural Housing Enabler helps to develop? Or wondered how it helps the whole community? Take at look at our brand new film commissioned to celebrate 10 years of the Rural Housing Enabler service here at RCCE.

Looking at two villages where affordable housing for local people has been provided; Wimbish and Great Bardfield, the film shows real people talking about their experiences from residents living in the homes to the chairs of the parish council and school governors. The residents talk about why they needed their home, their personal circumstances and what links they have to the parish. The parish council chair takes a view from not only the social gains but the wider economic benefits to the village. And as you would expect the chair of school governors whilst mentioning the wider effect focuses on why the homes which help young families stay or return to the village are so important to sustaining the school.
