Writtle College provides the venue for this year’s Rural Community Council of Essex (RCCE) AGM which takes place on Wednesday 10th July, commencing at 7.30pm.

This popular event provides a showcase for RCCE’s work with rural communities across Essex over the past year, and an occasion to celebrate some outstanding examples of community pride and initiative. Special features include:

·         Presentation of awards for the 2013 Essex Village of the Year and Best Kept Village Competition – sponsored by Essex & Suffolk Water and Worldbridge Ltd and supported by Essex Life.

·         ‘My Village, My Home’ – the launch of a new DVD marking the 10th anniversary of RCCE’s Rural Housing Enabler service, which highlights the crucial role affordable housing plays in securing a sustainable future for our villages.

The evening also features the presentation of RCCE’s Annual Review 2012/13 and Financial Statements 2012/13, both of which will be proposed for adoption by members.
