RCCE is looking to recruit a Volunteer Facilitator to support the volunteer experience within Essex Wellbeing Service (EWS). This service has supported thousands of people over the last year and volunteers have been integral to doing that, so this role is an opportunity to be part of a service supporting people across Essex, whether needing support or offering to volunteer their time to help others.

The Volunteer Facilitator post is the main point of contact for volunteers within EWS; from helping with onboarding new volunteers to supporting countywide requests for recruitment of volunteers for emergency or other large scale campaigns.

Excellent IT and organisational skills are important in fulfilling the role. The ability to be flexible and adapt to the various support needs, whether requests from organisations to help with larger scale campaigns or contacting volunteers. An appreciation of volunteering is very important, therefore experience of volunteering or facilitating volunteers is required.

This role requires flexibility; to respond to the needs of the volunteers and requests for support with larger campaigns, a flexible approach and the ability to be reactive or proactive, depending on the need is crucial. We want to be as flexible as the successful candidate and so, will consider applicants wanting full time or part time hours.

This is a home based role, though it is anticipated in future there will be opportunities to meet volunteers and organisations, therefore a full driving licence and access to a vehicle are crucial.

Salary starts at £25,000 pa (pro rata for part time).

Travel expenses to attend meetings are paid and you will be supplied with a laptop and phone for the role.
