    Walking for the Rural Fund

    Walkers will take to the footpaths around the villages of Danbury and Little Baddow on Saturday 26 April for the latest in a series of fund raising walks to raise money for the Essex Rural Fund.

    Residents Move Into Latest Rural Housing

    Residents of the latest rural housing scheme received the keys to their new homes on 21 March. Porter Place in Tollesbury has 10 homes with a mix of one bed flats and two & three bed houses. RCCE's Rural Housing Enabler worked with the parish council, Maldon District Council and Hastoe Housing Association to carry out a housing needs survey in October 2010 which identified the need for this type of housing within the parish.

    RCCE has joined forces with BDC, UDC and Daniel Kenning of Splendid Engineering to explore the potential for community owned energy schemes, showing how they can be used to generate a financial return for the community.
