    AMBO, the village magazine for Radwinter, Hempstead & The Sampfords from Uttlesford District has just carried off the major prize in the latest Essex Life Community Magazine Awards.

    RCCE - Essex Village of the Year Competition 2016 is Now Open for Entries

    In villages of all sizes throughout Essex, local people are doing great things to strengthen their communities. The purpose of our competition is to celebrate and reward such efforts.

    We have made some changes to the application format, with the aim of giving it a fresher image, a clearer purpose and, very importantly, making it easier to enter by reducing the paperwork!     RCCE Best Kept Churchyard Competition 2016

    RCCE Best Kept Churchyard Competition 2016. 

    This annual competition is jointly sponsored by Lodge and Sons Ltd and Essex Biodiversity Project, and seeks to find and acknowledge those churchyards which are well-managed and find a balance between functionality, tranquility and being a wildlife haven.

    First Grant made by Essex Rivers LEADER Group

    Essex Rivers LEADER fund gives their first grant of £86,104 to the Calcott Hall Farm Cafe project in Brentwood. The project is to rebuild and extend an unused barn so that it can be used as a cafe alongside the existing farm shop.
