4 x Trainee Community Organisers

Salary – £8.80 per hour for 30 - 35 hours per week



Fixed term 51 week contract

RCCE (Rural Community Council of Essex) is an independent charity helping people and communities throughout rural Essex build a sustainable future.

Working in partnership with Locality, RCCE is recruiting 4 Trainee Community Organisers to work in the following locations in Essex: Braintree and Tendring districts.

Trainee Community Organisers are individuals who will work in the above communities, listening to people’s ideas and views, bringing people together and supporting them in tackling local issues or getting projects started.

To be successful in these roles, you will need to a have a positive outlook, passion for social change and be a great communicator. You will need to be confident meeting new people, a good listener, respectable and also resilient; it would ideally suit someone who wants to become active in community work.

This role is a 51 -week experiential learning programme, which aims to develop skills and experience in community organising. It is a mixture of work and training, where on successful completion you will receive an OCN Level 2 or 3 in Community Organising.
