Once this year’s results have been announced at RCCE’s AGM on 5th July, Essex Life will carry a series of special features to showcase the achievements of the winning villages. Welcoming the news, RCCE Executive Director, Nick Shuttleworth said:

“The competition represents a great way of rewarding community initiative and enterprise. I am delighted that with sponsorship from Essex & Suffolk Water and promotional support from Essex Life, it is attracting the backing of such well-known Essex businesses.”

Julian Read, editor of Essex Life, commented:

“Essex Life magazine is delighted to support the Essex Village of the Year and Best Kept Village Competition in this way. In our magazine we celebrate all that is best about the county and so playing our part in recognising the county’s most vibrant villages is a natural thing to do.”

The deadline for entries is Tuesday 10th April, with judging then taking place throughout May and June. For more information on entering contact Sara Ward – sara.ward@essexrcc.org.uk – or phone: 01376 574330.
