The scheme consists of 2 x one bedroom flats, 4 x two bedroom houses and 4 x three bedroom houses all for affordable rent. It is named after the late Councillor Russell Porter who was elected to represent Tollesbury (East) in May 2011 and offered his full support in the negotiations and the subsequent planning discussions. His family joined dignitaries, colleagues and friends for the opening ceremony and a tree was planted in his memory.
